Manufacturing of a Cold Rolled Steel Charging Station for the Wireless Radio Industry

G & M Metal Fabricators were contracted by a customer in the wireless radio industry to fabricate the custom charging station highlighted here. This unit charges multiple wireless radios at once. We utilized our in house press brake and punch press to cut and form 16 gauge, 0.0598" thick cold rolled steel to the specified profile. The tightest tolerances of ±0.005" were held during fabrication. The unit was deburred to remove unwanted particles, and finished with a protective powder coating. Silk screening was performed to add branding and informative markings. Thorough dimensional and visual inspections were also performed throughout production.
Overall dimensions for this part were 13.956" long x 12.795" wide. 900 units were produced within 4 weeks, shipped to the customer in Illinois.
