Fabrication of an Aluminum Rack Assembly for the Science (Lab testing) Industry

A customer in the science industry contracted G & M Metal Fabricators to build a custom rack assembly for use in laboratory testing. The specific requirements of this rack highlighted here is a great example of the multiple fabricating services we offer. We sourced the proper materials for this unit, which included aluminum, cold rolled steel, and stainless steel. Utilizing our state of the art CNC machining equipment, as well as our punch press and press break, the metals were cut and formed into the specified shapes. We also employed our expert welding processes to finish construction of the unit. The rack was treated to a protective powder coat finish and assembled. To ensure accuracy and quality, our checklist inspection method was used.
Completed dimensions of this rack were 29" long x 31 ½" wide x 72" high. 40 units were fabricated and installed for the customer in Illinois after a turnaround time of 6 weeks.
